Understanding Human Trafficking

From community rides to policy advocacy, every pedal stroke counts toward a better world.

What is Human Trafficking?

Human trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of people through force, fraud or coercion, with the aim of exploiting them for profit. Men, women and children of all ages can become victims.

Where Does It Happen?

Human Trafficking happens EVERYWHERE. Approximately 400,000 people are trafficked in the United States. After drug trafficking, it is the second largest illegal activity globally.

The Funding Gap

Sex trafficking in the Western world illegally grosses over $80,000 per person. Despite the magnitude of the crisis, less than 2% of U.S. charitable funding is devoted to combating trafficking.

January Awareness Month

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day is January 11th. Join #WearBlueDay — wear blue, take a photo, and share on social media to raise awareness worldwide.
